Roger Schwabacher, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is a senior design principal in HOK’s Washington, D.C., office.
His award-winning projects include architectural, urban and sustainable design for a wide range of building types including government, corporate, higher education, commercial office, healthcare, science + technology, hospitality, civic + cultural, retail and residential.
Roger is a member of HOK’s Design Board, the University of Maryland School of Architecture Board of Visitors, the American Institute of Architects and the U.S. Green Building Council.
“My approach is to create dynamic spaces and forms that are a physical manifestation of a client’s mission. The foundation of my work, however, is the reality of the built environment. Designs have specific technical challenges that need to be resolved with creativity and thoughtful pragmatism. While I strive to be more than a builder, infusing every project with poetry and vision, our clients’ success rests on our ability to gracefully solve a building’s complex technical issues.”
