“HOK has consistently demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of healthcare architecture and the flexibility to apply it in difficult situations. They have won the confidence of our senior administration and board of directors.”
With a research pavilion on the top two floors and clinics on lower levels, physicians can bring scientific breakthroughs to their patients with maximum safety and speed. This “bench-to-bedside” treatment model is key to developing new practices in medicine and provides advanced care for patients.
The flexible building will house translational research labs as well as outpatient centers of excellence, clinical functions and outpatient procedure centers. A plaza level will feature an educational center, café, pharmacy, blood lab and imaging facilities.
Situated on a public edge of the Cedars-Sinai campus, adjacent to the primary circulation spine, the pavilion creates a new symbolic entry to the medical center.
The anticipated LEED Gold design features materials that are environmentally friendly and energy-saving while also allowing for light and an enhanced sense of openness.
