“The building is every bit as beautiful and well-designed
as we had ever imagined.”
The design creates a facility that blends academic instruction with scientific research. Though the traditional exterior appearance maintains the cohesiveness of the campus, the laboratories are sophisticated and high-tech.
The building consists of classrooms, teaching clinics and laboratories, offices and an auditorium. Research space includes imaging labs for molecular biology, biochemistry, tissue culture labs, computational labs and animal research.
HOK’s “smart” science quad master plan maximizes the site’s use while acknowledging the public open spaces that are so important on traditional campuses.
