Exemplifying the ideals of New Urbanism and smart growth, the project increases density, encourages pedestrian activity near a Metrorail station and adds green space. It promotes urban retail and business in this important quadrant of Friendship Heights.
The new development quadruples the square footage of the original center. The entire eight-story office tower was pre-leased before its opening.
In addition to commercial office space, the local community gained 90,000 square feet of “neighborhood” retail, including banks, restaurants, drycleaners and a grocery store, as well as “destination” retail. Two large, open spaces welcome people to shop and work here.
412,000 sq. ft. / 38,300 sq. m.
