Acknowledging the sensitive coastal ecology, HOK’s design for the landscape strikes a careful balance between preservation and development by embedding the guest experience and amenities within a network of preserved and restored natural systems. Guests are greeted by a memorable, contemporary resort that is sustainably connected both to the local culture and the lush tropical environment.
The resort includes one primary hotel, a smaller boutique hotel and a series of luxury villas. The landscape connects the entire site by creating a dynamic setting that caters to the guest experiences and needs within each zone. The landscape provides a broad range of activities including themed pools, natural streams, private beach pavilions, event lawns and a network of trails that enable guests to explore and immerse themselves in nature.
The careful interweaving of the sites, preserved ecological conditions, diverse landscape amenities and distinct architectural programs combine to create a sustainable benchmark for future projects in the region.
