Bringing a Campus to Life

This mixed-use development connects student life and academic enrichment with social and recreational amenities in an urban campus setting.

This new complex accommodates a dynamic mix of housing, meeting, dining and retail, bringing new life to the local community.

The buildings – a 3,000-seat convocation center known as The Forum, a residence hall for 750 students, a dining facility and a 150-seat event center – are linked by a retail and dining area.

The development encourages students to spend more time on the urban campus, which is located just west of Chicago’s Loop, while providing social venues that attract people from the community and generate revenue for UIC. The Forum draws a variety of events, including conventions, trade shows and concerts.
