To support Accenture’s “transformation journey” process, HOK designed an environment that inspires knowledge-sharing and change based on the idea of a caterpillar’s metamorphosis into a butterfly.
The “cocoon” design features separate workshops for simulation modeling and brainstorming. The exterior of each workshop is covered in a translucent skin that glows with bright backlit colors while providing a surface on which to project images. Videoconferencing equipment enables Accenture’s remote experts to interact directly with clients.
The collaborative space outside the “cocoon” area accommodates Accenture’s business development team.
Floor-to-ceiling windows allow ample natural light while providing inspiring views of the city. Photo sensors along the perimeter window walls automatically turn off electric lights when the room has sufficient daylight. Motion sensors conserve energy by minimizing unnecessary lighting.
