The mission was to craft a new museum to be technically sound and efficient while drawing to the building, and to St. Petersburg, visitors from around the world.
Emphasizing innovation, the design is a fresh, abstract reference to the surrealist movement of which Dalí was a leader.
With the goal of creating a “Dalíesque” experience while avoiding the trite or kitsch, the design resolves highly specific functional and technical requirements while establishing a dramatic new iconic landmark for the Dali collection and the city.
