Historically used for agricultural production, the site is surrounded by farm villages. It connects to an existing natural forest preserve, with a recreational river defining its outer edge. The location at the edge of the city’s metropolitan reach provides easy access to Moscow’s highway network.
The organization includes a large district with four main low-rise, high-density neighborhoods. Within those neighborhoods, the landscape incorporates a variety of scales, from large infrastructure elements to intimate pedestrian gardens.
The design allows the development to both preserve and develop the site’s existing landscape while capitalizing on amenities like the adjacent nature reserves.
