HOK’s team incorporated several options into the strategy, including mobility, team settings and free address.
The pilot project was for CIBC’s corporate real estate group in a space within a historic downtown Toronto building. Our design transformed the awkwardly shaped space into a productive, inviting workplace. The open office has ‘home rooms’ but no assigned seating. It includes a large meeting area, mid-sized meeting rooms, casual meeting spaces, enclaves for one-on-one meetings and a lounge with casual seating.
Next, the team built on what they learned in this pilot project to design 27,200 square feet of flexible space on two floors for CIBC.
