Located on the northern gateway of the city’s new central business district, the site contains the magnificent Jiangjun Mountain, which serves as an icon of the district and roots the residents in nature.
HOK’s plan reflects the multiculturalism of Guiyang and respects the natural surroundings. The many connections throughout this development reinforce Guiyang’s location as the province’s central hub.
Inspired by the local ecology, the team established a 3.8-mile-long “jade necklace” of green spaces threading through five distinct communities. This eco-corridor gives all residents access to nature while providing pedestrians the ability to move seamlessly through the entire development.
