The Four Seasons Hotel is in the heart of downtown Shanghai, just a short walk to shops and entertainment along Nanjing Road.
The hotel’s exterior features a combination of granite, metal and glass. The 37-story tower offers beautiful city views. A three-level podium houses the hotel restaurants, health club, convention facilities, back-of-house functions and a rooftop garden.
The project was originally designed to be an office tower. The change to a luxury hotel came late in the design process, after the massing had been established. HOK’s team managed to carry out this drastic change while creating one of Shanghai’s leading hotels.
