HOK Group and HOK Sport Venue Event Complete Ownership Transfer
Following the announcement that HOK Group has agreed to transfer legal ownership of HOK Sport Venue Event to leaders of that practice, the two firms confirm the transaction was completed on December 31, as anticipated.![]() |
HOK Sport Venue Event is now an independent firm, and, as agreed in the arrangement, HOK Sport Venue Event will launch a new corporate name and brand in 2009.
The change in ownership has no impact on clients or projects of HOK Group or HOK Sport Venue Event, and both practices will continue to collaborate on projects where their combined expertise will benefit clients.
HOK Sport Venue Event has been a part of HOK Group for 25 years and has operated as a wholly-owned subsidiary since 2000. The new company will continue to be managed by an Executive Group of 13 existing Senior Principals. HOK Sport Venue Event will continue to operate from all its key offices worldwide, including London, Kansas City and Brisbane.
HOK Sport Venue Event is the leading designer of sports and convention center architecture, including such projects as the new Yankee Stadium, London 2012 Olympic Stadium, Nanjing China Sports Park and Phoenix Convention Center.
