Dina Lamanna Joins HOK as Senior Hospitality Interior Designer in New York

Dina Lamanna has joined HOK as a principal and senior hospitality interior designer based in the New York studio.

Lamanna, a recognized leader in hospitality interiors, brings 12 years of experience in the design and development of international hotel projects.

As senior project interior designer, Lamanna will lead design teams for a range of hospitality projects including high-end hotels, restaurants and lounges. Her passion for design will help HOK develop tailored solutions for each client to create functional and beautiful hospitality interiors with a focus on providing superior experiences for guests.

“Dina’s creativity and keen eye for detail will bring tremendous value to our hospitality clients in New York and globally,” said Louis Hedgecock, AIA, LEED AP, director of Hospitality based in HOK’s New York office. “She will play a critical role in elevating our hospitality interiors practice to deliver exceptional solutions centered on enhancing the guest experience.”

Lamanna comes to HOK from Jeffrey Beers International, where she was a senior interior designer. Before that, she worked for Rockwell Group and Skordas Design Studio. Her past clients include Highgate, Hilton, Princess Cruises, Related Companies, The Cordish Companies, Walt Disney Family Foundation and Westin.

“Dina’s knowledge of the industry and visionary designs will advance HOK’s presence in the highly competitive hospitality market,” said Bill Bouchey, director of interior design for HOK’s New York studio. “She creates spaces that express a client’s brand and aspirations while respecting regional nuances.”

Lamanna was named to Boutique Design Magazine’s list of 18 up-and-coming designers in 2014 and is a member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and Network of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH). She is an adjunct professor at the New York School of Interior Design with a focus in hospitality studio courses.

HOK’s current and recent hospitality projects include the Address Hotel and Residences in Manama, Bahrain; the InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel; Mandarin Oriental Suite 5000 in New York; the Lotte New York Palace Hotel Jewel and Champagne Suites; Atlantis resorts in Hainan, China and Oahu, Hawaii; and Akademias Hotel in Athens, Greece.
