Rebecca O’Keefe Joins HOK’s Calgary Office as Interiors Practice Leader
With 30 years of interior design experience, Rebecca O’Keefe has joined the leadership team in HOK’s Calgary office.
O’Keefe brings a diverse range of design expertise that includes corporate office, commercial, retail, luxury residential and restaurant projects. She has overseen projects across Canada in Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto, as well as in London, England.
“We are thrilled that Rebecca has brought her passion for people-centered design solutions to our Calgary practice,” said Duncan Broyd, RIBA, LEED AP, HOK’s managing principal in Canada. “Her thoughtful, contemplative style combines logical and creative considerations, resulting in a systems-based approach that responds to client goals.”
As interiors practice leader and a member of the office leadership team, O’Keefe will lead projects through all phases of design, including visioning and schematic planning.
“I was drawn to HOK’s values, belief system and balanced approach to design,” she said. “The firm is so multifaceted, and our designers can look through the lenses of many disciplines. This opens up a whole new world in terms of the value we can provide to clients.”
O’Keefe, who has unique expertise in sustainable design and workplace wellness, specializes in developing customized solutions for clients to achieve sustainable, high-performance design solutions.
She earned a Bachelor Of Applied Arts degree in Interior Design from Ryerson University and has been honored with design awards by the Interior Designers of Alberta, National Post Design Exchange, Prairie Design Awards and Thompson Okanagan Housing Association.
