HOK and West Park Healthcare Centre Host Design Innovation Workshop in Toronto
Sixty West Park Healthcare Centre patients, physicians, employees and volunteers participated in a four-day event to help shape the design of a new patient care center in Toronto.
“We’ve been brought in by West Park to help navigate through the early pre-design process to help establish all the wants and the needs for the hospital’s new facility,” said Ben Embir, an HOK Healthcare project architect in Toronto.
“What [this event] really speaks to is West Park Healthcare Centre’s acknowledgement of the importance of research and innovation as well as the integration of research and clinical practice,” said Tim Pauley, manager of Research and Evaluation with West Park.
