Indianapolis International Airport Wins ACI Roll of Excellence Award as One of World’s Best
The Indianapolis International Airport was inducted into the prestigious Airports Council International (ACI) Director General’s Roll of Excellence.
Indianapolis International Airport is one of only four airports in the world to earn this honor in 2015.
ACI World Director General Angela Gittens presented the award to Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) leaders in the airport’s Civic Plaza.
“To the hardworking staff at IND, I thank you on behalf of the passengers you serve every day,” said Gittens during the awards presentation. “To those flying in and out of Indianapolis International Airport, I say you’re in good hands and, if the team’s performance to date is any indication, we can continue to expect big things from them in the years to come.”
Airport executives, board members and staff gathered in the passengter terminal’s Civic Plaza for the presentation along with local dignitaries including Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard and Visit Indy president and CEO Leonard Hoops.
“We’re honored to be included in the Director General’s Roll of Excellence,” said IAA Executive Director Mario Rodriguez. “This designation would not be possible without the dedication of our employees and front-line staff providing world-class service to our passengers every single day.”
Indianapolis International Airport was also officially presented with the “Best Airport in North America” award for 2014, the fourth time in five years it has been honored by ACI for outstanding customer service.
